Pro C2 features eight compressor styles, as opposed to the three included in Pro C. This is useful when using the EQ, as it allows you to pinpoint which sections need affecting. In a nutshell, it lets you hear what is being compressed, and by how much. The audition button allows you to 'audition' the processed sound. This can be utilised when using the side-chain mode also. The 3-band EQ included in this is of the same quality and layout present in Pro Q2! This will allow you to go into an insane amount of detail, allowing you to customise which bands of the frequency get compressed, and by how much. There a quite a few compressors that include an EQ option, but none to the extant of Pro C2. The ratio can also be cranked right up, till the processing effectively becomes a limiter. Other features include up to 4x oversampling, mid/side processing, and a variable knee, from hard to a 72dB soft knee. It also features Auto Release, which will adjust to best suit the input audio. This will automatically adjust the output level to match the input level, which will remove the need to re-balance your mix after processing. The same applies to the release and hold - up to 500ms.Īlso present is an intelligent Auto Gain. Alternatively, it also features a very long attack time, for when they are not enough. In terms of the compression, Pro C2 has incredibly fast attack times, for when transients are just too much. One of these is the ability to resize the plugin itself, or even set it to full-screen, allowing for use on a range of devices at different resolutions.
